About your host

Ljubljana, the small yet charming capital of Slovenia, is a stylish city of culture, history and gastronomy, offering a blend of old charm and new cool and often depicted as a welcoming lounge by conference delegates. With a population of 295.000, out of 2.067.000 in Slovenia, it is an easily manageable destination with vast pedestrian zones and a walking city par excellence, distinguished by its relaxed atmosphere that is both Central European and Mediterranean.

It is also an established conference destination, which started its positioning on the international meetings market over 40 years ago, when the host venue, Cankarjev dom – CD Congress Centre Ljubljana, opened.

Ljubljana was named European Green Capital 2016 for its excellence in sustainable development that is, as a live legacy, now embedded in its DNA.
