The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) announces the national airline of the UAE, Etihad Airways, as the newest addition to the organisation’s Regional Travel Partnership programme. The world-class business airline was recognised in the categories of ‘Best Cabin Crew’ and ‘Best Frequent Flyer Programme’ at the 2021 Business Traveller Middle East Awards. Furthermore, Etihad Airways has demonstrated a vigilant and innovative approach to traveller safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“As we begin to meet each other face-to-face again, our members are looking for travel partners that can help them reach their destination confidently and efficiently. That’s why we are glad to connect ICCA World with Etihad Airways,” said Senthil Gopinath, ICCA CEO.

Etihad Airways has also shown a clear commitment to sustainability goals, pledging zero net carbon emissions by 2050 and reducing its single-use plastics by 80% in 2022.

“It’s important to ICCA World that we align with organisations that can support our community in a more sustainable future. With Etihad Airways as an ICCA Regional Travel Partner we know that we’re collaborating with an exemplary company in sustainability efforts,” stated Anju Gomes, ICCA Regional Director - Middle East.

The ICCA Travel Partnership is a long-term relationship that aims to help both ICCA and the member achieve business goals and objectives. The partnership also generates strong visibility to both the destination and the member. ICCA only develops such partnerships with organisations that merit a high-level endorsement to our members.

ICCA plans to further expand the Regional Travel Partnership programme in 2021 with additional trusted transportation partners. ICCA also has partnership programmes, in other sectors including: Association Relations, Corporate, Destination, Industry, Hospitality and Sustainability. Each partnership is targeted to a diverse audience and provides unique benefits.
