In accordance with the ICCA Articles of Association and By-laws, please find below a list of candidates who are standing for (re-)election on the ICCA Board during the 60th (Digital) General Assembly of ICCA in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Monday 11 October 2021 from 13:00 until 14.30 CET.
The call for elections will be send out to the sectors and regions which will be holding elections, no earlier than 30 days prior to the GA and no later than 5 days prior to the GA, and will remain open until at least the first 15 minutes of the actual GA (timing for closure to be announced at the start of the GA).
SECTOR REPRESENTATIVES
Meeting Support – one vacancy
One candidate has come forward:
Jaap Bakker, Parthen meeting services (The Netherlands)
Since Jaap Bakker is the only candidate, he will automatically be re-elected as the Meeting Support Representative for the coming two years (2022-2023). This will be his second term.
Destination Marketing - one vacancy
Three candidates came forward:
- Corne Koch, Cape Town & Western Cape Convention Bureau (South Africa)
- Sevda Aliyeva, Azerbaijan Convention Bureau (Azerbaijan)
- Nichapa Yoswee, Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (Thailand)
Since there are three candidates, there will be an election for the position of BoD representative Destination Marketing.
GEOGRAPHICAL REPRESENTATIVES
Geographic – Middle East – one vacancy
One candidate has come forward:
- Mubarak Al Shamisi, Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau (United Arab Emirates)
Since Mubarak Al Shamisi is the only candidate, he will automatically be re-elected as the BoD representative for the coming two years (2022-2023). This will be his second term.
Geographic – North America – one vacancy
One candidate has come forward:
- Glenn Duncan, Ottawa Tourism (Canada)
Since Glenn Duncan is the only candidate, he will automatically be re-elected as the BoD representative for the coming two years (2022-2023). This will be his second term.
Geographic – Latin America – one vacancy
One candidate has come forward:
- Diana Rodriguez, Cartagena de Indias Convention Center (Colombia)
Since Diana Rodriguez is the only candidate, she will automatically be elected as the BoD representative for the coming two years (2022-2023). This will be her first term.
