Tell us your story. How did Wuxi International Conference Center get started?
1.Planning and project approval: With the economic development of Wuxi and the rise of the convention and exhibition industry, the original convention and exhibition facilities were difficult to meet the needs of hosting large - scale and high - standard conference activities. After the Taihu International Expo Center was put into use in 2010, Wuxi further planned and constructed a professional conference center to form an agglomeration effect of the convention and exhibition industry, and the project of the Wuxi International Conference Center was thus approved.
2.Commencement of construction: On December 25, 2020, the construction of the Wuxi International Conference Center officially started. The project is located in the commercial core area of Taihu New City, adjacent to the Wuxi Taihu International Expo Center.
3.Completion and opening: On December 20, 2023, the Wuxi International Conference Center was officially opened. It has a total construction area of 120,000 square meters and is equipped with facilities such as the only column - free multi - functional conference hall exceeding 10,000 square meters in China.
