The Future Convention Cities Initiative—a five-year-old association of the cities of Abu Dhabi, Durban, London, San Francisco, Seoul, Sydney, and Toronto that is dedicated to collaborating, cooperating, and sharing resources to drive innovation as convention leaders—has developed a series of case studies designed to demonstrate that business events bring legacy training, education, and networking benefits that last long after the delegates’ tourism dollars are spent.
