Meetings are due for disruption, say PCMA and Marriott

This article is about what influencers outside the world of meetings have to say about what people expect when you entice them from their everyday lives and draw them to a conference. The Professional Convention Management Association and Marriott International (specifically, its Meetings Imagined program) partnered to ask these influencers—from the fields of data science, architecture, media, and elsewhere—to imagine the future of meetings. PCMA President & CEO Deborah Sexton and Marriott President & CEO Arne Sorenson chatted about the research during an early morning broadcast Monday to virtual attendees of PCMA’s Convening Leaders, taking place in Vancouver January 11–13.
