Unlock the Power of Your Association for Transformative Action
ICCA's Association Impact Masterclass is a groundbreaking training programme designed to align with ICCASkills certification. The programme enhances the skillsets of association professionals worldwide, enabling them to design, deliver, and measure the impacts of their activities and initiatives.
Associations play a crucial role globally and adopting impact-focused strategies will empower them to continue to serve their member communities as well as intentionally driving broader social, economic, and environmental benefits.
The ICCA Association Impact Masterclass is a two-day training programme consisting of 12 contact hours of instruction. The programme includes comprehensive curriculum covering critical aspects of legacy-building and impact creation.
A Holistic Approach to Impact Creation
Achieving meaningful impact requires associations to shift from reactive to proactive strategies. This involves understanding the dynamics of impact creation and including these principles into organisational DNA.
Key areas of focus include:
-
Defining Mission, Vision, and Purpose: Associations need to articulate their reason for existence through clear purpose statements that inspire action and align with societal needs. This clarity helps organisations assess their strategies and create impactful collaborations.
-
Mapping Stakeholders: Building an "impact ecosystem" is essential. Associations must identify and engage with a diverse range of partners, including government agencies, corporations, academic institutions, and community organisations. Collaborative approaches amplify the reach and effectiveness of impact initiatives.
-
Leveraging Planning Models: Tools like logic models and theories of change provide a structured way to align organisational actions with desired societal outcomes. These frameworks help associations track progress and adjust strategies as needed.
-
Focusing on Sustainability: Aligning activities with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) ensures associations address critical global issues, from climate action to social equity. Sustainability becomes both a guiding principle and a measurable outcome.
Nearly 40% of participants in the Dublin 2025 Association Masterclass said it was "game-changer... I’m going back and rewriting our strategic plan into an impact strategy based on these learnings."

I feel more confident in implementing these strategies within my association, events, and programmes. I highly recommend the Masterclass."
