The Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau and Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism recognised the significant role association conferences play in advancing and improving communities, and the many ways these meetings contribute to the positive development of destinations.
The two government agencies invited the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), the global community and knowledge hub for the international association and governmental meetings industry, to establish the strategic office in Beijing. The stakeholders of the meetings industry share a common goal of driving a multidisciplinary, synergistic approach to facilitating international business opportunities, boosting local economies, and integrating China with the global business events industry.
The ICCA office in Beijing is formally open. Under the guidance of the Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau, ICCA is the first global meetings industry association to have successfully opened its office in Beijing.
ICCA is proud to play a significant role in forging connections among successful business case studies, professionals, and cultures, showcasing the diversity of knowledge that serves to enrich destination profiling and advance business innovation for ICCA members and the business events industry in China. The establishment of the ICCA China office creates an additional platform for ICCA members to explore the business environment in China.
The meetings industry is a catalyst for socio-economic development, and collaborative efforts help create sustainable growth within the industry on a global scale. ICCA is the trusted partner worldwide for business events industry colleagues. Together we shape the future and value of international association meetings.
