Tell us a little bit about your background:
In 2016, I started studying International Tourism Studies at the Harz University of Applied Sciences in Germany. As part of my studies I spent two remarkable semesters abroad in Lillehammer, Norway. During my studies I focused on Event, Congress and Conference Management as well as Trade Show and Exhibition Planning. The internship at ICCA is now the last step before writing my bachelor thesis and finishing my degree.
How long have you known of/been involved with ICCA?
I already got to know ICCA during my studies. While attending lectures and conducting research concerning the topic of Event and Congress Management, ICCA frequently appeared to me.
What do you want to learn more about during your internship?
Throughout my studies I learnt a lot about Event Management in theory, and now I am finally able to discover this complex work in practice and on a professional level. I want to use this possibility at ICCA to learn from and be part of a team of meeting industry professionals.
What do you find the most interesting about the meetings industry?
In the meetings industry, numerous people from diverse backgrounds come together to exchange experiences, discuss relevant topics and engage in networking. This industry allows me and everyone participating in it, to broaden our professional and personal horizon over and over again.
What can members contact you about?
ICCA members are more than welcome to contact me with any type of question regarding our events and the registration processes.
