Join us this December in Penang as Asia-Pac members gather and embark on a Journey of Discovery with their industry peers at the upcoming ICCA Asia Pacific Chapter Summit. Organised by the ICCA Asia Pacific Chapter and hosted by Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB) and My Meeting Partner @ Anderes Fourdy, the Summit will be held concurrently with PCEB’s BE @ Penang from 5 - 6 December at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre, Malaysia.
ICCA Asia Pacific Chapter Inaugural Summit is the first-ever Chapter Summit which will be held in the Asia Pacific region to leverage on the growth of the industry. A grass-roots initiative by the members and for the members, the two-day Summit aims to strengthen member-to-member collaboration at the same time serve as a platform for the Asia Pacific to meet, network, discuss topics of common interest.
ICCA President, James Rees, will make his debut Keynote Address at the Summit. There will also be an interactive session entitled "Teh Tarik with the ICCA President” - “Teh Tarik” literally translated as “pulled tea” is Malaysia’s ‘national drink’. In this tea meeting with the ICCA President session, members are welcome to ask burning questions or share ideas with our President. This is a great opportunity to gain first-hand insights on how to leverage your ICCA membership and how you can contribute and make an impact as a member of ICCA. This interactive “You ask, James answers” session will be moderated by Jane Vong Holmes, GainingEdge.
Over 25 knowledgeable industry leaders will be speaking at the Summit, covering carefully selected topics that are currently trending in the business events industry. Encompassing crucial subjects from legacy to sustainability and research amongst others, the Summit will feature inspiring keynote talks and breakout sessions with participation from the Chapter membership, sharing knowledge and showcasing the strength of the community. Registration fee for ICCA Asia Pacific Chapter members is USD $350 and a portion of the Summit’s registration fee will go to the Penang Turtle Cares Conservation Programme as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility programme.
