Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre Wins Two More Bids!

The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (the Centre) has won two more international conferences both of which will be held for the first time in Malaysia, to add to a growing portfolio of business tourism events.


The conferences are:

·           Women Deliver Conference 2013 (3,000 delegates)


The Women Deliver Conference 2013 will see government representatives, policy makers, funders and programmers from every region in the world come together in a combined effort to strengthen and sustain political commitment and investment for Millennium Development Goal #5 which is to reduce Maternal Mortality and Improve Women’s Health and to ensure universal access to reproductive health.

To be held from 21 – 23 October 2013, the conference is under the purview of Women Deliver, a global advocacy organisation whose primary aim is to act against maternal death. Women Deliver places importance on the health of girls, women and mothers and works globally to serve as a source of information and to develop and disseminate messages, tools and solutions related to maternal health.


With 3,000 delegates, the conference will create a positive economic impact to Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia.






The Asia Pacific Congress of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology will bring together international scientists and clinicians from the Asia Pacific region, as contributors and participants to further educate and encourage knowledge exchange for training and research in the disciplines of allergy, asthma and clinical immunology.

Organised by the Asia Pacific Association of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology, the 2016 Congress will be held from 5 – 8 November 2016.


Since its opening in June 2005, the Centre has been the venue of choice for 4,164 events with over 10.6 million delegates and visitors and in turn, has contributed approximately RM3.1 billion in economic impact to Kuala Lumpur city and Malaysia.

About the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre


The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (the Centre) is a component of the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) and is managed and operated by Convex Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a joint-venture company between KLCC (Holdings) Sdn Bhd and AEG Ogden Pty Ltd, Australia.


A winner of numerous awards including the TravelWeekly (Asia) Industry Awards 2007 and 2008 and CEI Industry Award 2009 for best convention and exhibition centre in Asia, the Centre is a wholly-owned facility of Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre Sdn Bhd which in turn, is owned by KLCC (Holdings) Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS).


The Centre has ISO 9001, ISO 22000, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications, EarthCheck Bronze status (environment) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points Certification (HACCP) recognition, the international food safety system for international convention facilities and five-star hotels. It is also the first in Asia; and one of only 12 AIPC centres worldwide, to receive the ‘Gold’ AIPC Quality Standards certification.



The Centre, comprising of two auditoria (seating 3,000 and 500 respectively), 9,710 sq metres of Exhibition Halls, a Grand Ballroom which seats 2,000 diners, a Banquet Hall for 500, a Conference Hall for 1,800 and 20 other meeting rooms, provides 20,059 sq metres of function space in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
