New marketing area and “Personal Expert” format at BTC, Italy’s events exhibition

BTC 2011, the Italian trade show for the events, meetings, conferences and incentive travel industry, which will take place at the Fiera di Rimini Exhibiton Centre on 30 June-1 July 2011, will feature “The MarkEvent”, a new marketing area within the exhibition floor.

The MarkEvent, is the innovative exhibition area that BTC is dedicating to the event as a marketing tool. Designed and managed bypartner magazine P5, The MarkEvent area brings together a series of little-known (or unexpected) suppliers able to transform an event into a marketing tool.

The MarkEvent space is dedicated both to corporate buyers, particularly event managers and marketing and communication managers, and to suppliers, such as hotels, events agencies, incentive agencies and PCOs, which will be able to find new ideas and solutions there.

The MarkEvent is organised into the four macro areas related to an event: communication (with suppliers of tools to create and spread the message in the most appropriate channels); marketing (suppliers of geo-marketing and micro-marketing tools); technology (suppliers that amplify an event’s message with innovative digital tools); emotional information (suppliers of products and services that help carry the event’s message within an emotional framework).

The MarkEvent space has a small central meeting space where exhibitors can share their know-how with visitors without restrictions in terms of time or content: a place to communicate, interact and debate that has the feeling of a lounge and the authority of a conference room.

Another new feature at BTC 2011 is the “Personal Expert” format. The idea is to give BTC participants the opportunity to access professional content on an individual basis, in a more personalised way than is possible during seminars, and to discuss it with experts who command a broad view of the industry and its most topical issues.

The Personal Expert format will enable exhibitors, visitors and hosted buyers to tap the know-how of some of the main specialist Italian and international media, whose representatives will be available for one-to-one meetings on the topics in which they are most knowledgeable. The Personal Expert stations will be open during the two days of the show in the Media Village, located in the BTC exhibition floor, for enquiries, discussions and questions.

Available timeslots for the Personal Expert stations will be availble nearer the date of the show.
