ICCA Elections 2011

The following candidates have been duly nominated and seconded for election to the ICCA Board during the 50th General Assembly of ICCA in Leipzig, Germany, Sunday 23 October 2011.

A letter has been mailed to all members giving the same information.

For those members who belong to the Sector Destination Marketing, there is an absentee ballot included for the Sector members to vote should they not be attending the ICCA General Assembly/Congress in Leipzig. Please do not return the absentee ballot if you intend to attend the ICCA GA/Congress in Leipzig.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS SECTOR REPRESENTATION:

Destination Marketing – one vacancy

  • Candidate -  Mrs. Ulrike von Arnold, CMP, Vienna Convention Bureau, Austria.
  • Nominated by: Mr. Eduardo Chaillo, CMP, CMM, Mexico Tourism Board, Mexico.      
  • Seconded by: Mrs. Anne Wallin Rødven, VisitOSLO, Norway.
  • Candidate – Mrs. Maria da Graça Luis Oliveira, Madeira Promotion Bureau, Portugal.
  • Nominated by: Mrs. Airy Garrigosa, Barcelona Convention Bureau, Spain.             
  • Seconded by: Ms. Carolina García, Gijón Visitors & Convention Bureau, Spain.

For the Sector Destination Marketing as there are two candidates standing for one vacancy an election will be held.  Members in this Sector have been sent an absentee ballot, which should be completed by members who will not be attending the General Assembly/Congress in Leipzig and returned to ICCA to reach ICCA HO before 13 October 2011.

For the Sector Meetings Support as there is one candidate standing for one vacancy, the President of ICCA by executive decision has determined that an absentee ballot is not necessary.

  • Seconded by: Ms. Paola Andrea Piza Cossio, Foundation Medellin Convention & Visitors Bureau, Colombia.

For the Latin America Geographic Representative as there is one candidate standing for one vacancy, the President of ICCA by executive decision has determined that an absentee ballot is not necessary. 

North America – one vacancy

  • Candidate - Mr. Eduardo Chaillo, CMP, CMM, Mexican Tourism Board, Mexico, 
  • Nominated by: Ms. Diane DiMaggio, Successful Meetings/MeetingsNews, U.S.A.
  • Seconded by: Mr. Eric Chou, CMP, Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Canada.

For the North America Geographic Representative as there is one candidate standing for one vacancy, the President of ICCA by executive decision has determined that an absentee ballot is not necessary.
