Presidential Message

Are you ready for Leipzig? It’s less than a month before we meet together at the ICCA Congress, and I hope you’re starting your preparations.  If you haven’t registered yet, don’t worry (!), you’ve still got time, but go online now to ensure you can secure a room in one of the official hotels!

If you’ve registered for the Congress but haven’t signed up for the Business Exchange, you’ve only got a couple of days to meet the FINAL deadline – I urge you to participate – it’s an easy way to obtain concrete sales leads from your colleagues (see separate article in this Members Update), or to get invaluable insider advice on a bid you’re already working on.  If you want to participate but don’t know how, just email ICCA Head Office for help!

Have you got any strategic challenges you need help with?  Check out the educational sessions and book up some free consultancy in the Expert Advice Appointments: it’s up to you to design an agenda to suit your individual needs.

Do you want to know who else is attending? Don’t wait till you arrive: check out the attendee listings – we’re fast approaching 1,000 from nearly 70 countries.

Coming to the ICCA Congress for the first time?  Don’t forget to register for our unique First Timer session on the afternoon of Saturday 22 October – it’s a great way to kick-start your business networking and to plan out your time.

Planning a new announcement: a big congress bid you’ve won, an extension to your venue or a strategic merger? Make sure you use the extensive PR and social media opportunities – we’re going to be pumping out press releases throughout the Congress, and the worldwide media are going to be in the mood to hear ICCA-related stories, so it’s a great time to get noticed.

Over the next few weeks there will be more and more detailed information on the Congress website, so I urge you to visit the site once a week, and start thinking today about how to extract maximum value from your time with your ICCA colleagues.

I’m very excited about what’s in store for us in Germany, I know the local hosts are preparing a very special welcome, and I look forward to seeing you all for what promises to be a great event.  See you very soon!

Arnaldo Nardone, President
