Presidential Message: ICCA activity programmes move into high gear

Around the world, from Alaska to Australia, ICCA is having an exceptionally busy time. 40 delegates from a dozen countries gathered together in Thessaloniki for the Four Chapter Summit planned by our Mediterranean Chapter, whilst France Benelux enjoyed it's largest and most successful Chapter event in The Hague, attracting over 50 colleagues. Registration is open for other Chapter conferences and for this year's Research, Sales & Marketing Programme in Amsterdam, whilst the Association Expert Seminar just before IMEX is almost sold out already!

ICCA's Research Team has been running Masterclasses in Goteborg, whilst the North American Client-Supplier workshop has been held for the first time in Anchorage. ICCA CEO Martin Sirk and I have been adding to our air miles, attending and speaking at trade shows and conferences from Melbourne to Johannesburg, and all over Latin America. And of course our members are promoting their ICCA credentials with dozens of press releases announcing the bids they've just won.  All in all, 2013 is shaping up to be ICCA's busiest year ever!

Your Board of Directors has not been idle either. We gathered together in sub-zero Amsterdam last month to evaluate last year's performance and to work with the Head Office team on existing strategic priorities and new initiatives. I can tell you that ICCA is in good shape, last year was a strong one, and this year has started with our highest ever early-months recruitment figures.  Thanks to this, we are bringing forward into the current year some important investments to further strengthen our research capacity, to ensure that we are able to increase the quality and quantity of our database faster than our membership growth.

Dear colleagues and friends, I hope you too are having a positive start to this year, and I look forward to seeing you at an ICCA event somewhere around the world in the coming months. There are so many opportunities to gain value from your membership by participating in one of our live events, so check the website to see what's happening!
