ICCA announces Best Marketing Award finalists for record-breaking Congress in Shanghai

ICCA announced the finalists for this year's ICCA Best Marketing Award, taking place at the 52nd ICCA Congress in Shanghai-China-P.R.. The upcoming ICCA Congress will attract the biggest attendance by far for an ICCA Congress venue outside Europe.

ICCA Best Marketing Award

The ICCA Best Marketing Award, established in 1997, recognises the excellence and outstanding achievements of organisations in their effort to market their destination or product. Entries can range from full scale campaigns and branding exercises to individual promotions and events. The ICCA Best Marketing Award is sponsored by Bedouk Meetings & Events Media (http://www.bedouk.com) and is open to ICCA members only.

The 2013 ICCA Best Marketing Award finalist are:

  • Gdansk Convention Bureau
  • Melbourne Convention Bureau
  • Palais des Congres de Montreal
  • VisitDenmark

These finalists will present their successful marketing campaigns at the the 52nd ICCA Congress, taking place 2-6 November in Shanghai, China-P.R..

ICCA CEO Martin Sirk: “It’s a great spread of finalists, both geographically (three continents represented!) and in terms of the size and scope of the entries, ranging from wildly innovative low-budget promotional projects to ambitiously large-scale branding strategies. All of them have fantastic learning ideas for the audience at the Congress.”

Record attendance
With just a couple of days to go, more than 900 senior representatives from 60 countries of the world’s leading suppliers to the international meetings industry have signed up for the 52nd ICCA Congress in Shanghai, China-P.R.. This is by far the biggest attendance for an ICCA Congress venue outside Europe. The 52nd ICCA Congress will take place 2-6 November in the
Shanghai International Convention Centre.

ICCA is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, which will end with a climactic Gala evening at the ICCA Congress in Shanghai.
