ICCA Researcher of the Month – August 2020

The red update button is your friend! The more you use it, the more concrete information you get. ICCA members - together with the ICCA team - are working hard to achieve a mutually beneficial situation of sharing information on the ICCA Association Database.

Keep finding ways to press it and you'll be in the running to become the next Researcher of the Month - or even Researcher of the Year!

For August 2020, Manami Murakami, Assistant Manager in the Convention Department in Chiba Convention Bureau, has secured the coveted title! Here's what Manami had to say:

How is the ICCA database beneficial for your work/organisation?

Not a day goes by without checking the ICCA database!
Researching for association meetings takes amount of effort, adding the fact that it is not easy to get reliable and latest information on the internet. For me, ICCA data base serves as trusted information source.
Before contacting any clients, I make sure to check the database first and understand their requirements so I can respond to them appropriately.
Also, I make use of the data base for building our target list.

Do you have any tips for your fellow ICCA members?

- Check the “HOT Leads” in regular basis to see what are upcoming RFP’s
- Keep searching potential meetings which rotate your destination
- Use the ‘save’ feature to spare time when you visit the data base the next time

What positive message would you like to share with ICCA World?

Our industry is facing a tough and challenging time, but on a positive note, this provides us opportunity to spend more time on do research and analyze association meetings.
