1. What was your motivation to join ICCA?
ICCA is a recognised and professional association in the international conference industry who has over one thousand members from over hundred countries. Joining ICCA would be a great opportunity for us to get a grip on the newest data and development tendency, plus networking chances with top organisations in the industry.
 
2. Tell us your story. How did Chengdu Young Academic Conference Co., Ltd. get started?
Chengdu Young Academic Conference Co., Ltd. was formerly known as Chengdu Young Education & Consultancy Co., Ltd., which was founded in 2008. When we started, we not only provided professional services to international conferences, but also helped arrange international trainings, study visits, academic tours and communication, including assistance in applying visas to a few countries for people. These years, we’re more and more adept in helping organise the academic conferences, which has practically become our major business. We have decided to devote ourselves to the international conference industry and focus on this business, so Chengdu Young Academic Conference Co., Ltd. was born.
 
3. What sets Chengdu Young Academic Conference Co., Ltd. apart?
With rich experiences in organising academic conferences in over 50 countries all these years, we have become very professional. Besides, we have built long-lasting and friendly cooperation relationships with over 100 world-famous universities and academic organisations over the years, which is one of our advantages when it comes to the organisation and management of a conference.

4. What is your favorite success story from your organisation?
We think it’s the conference 2020 IEEE 5th International Conference on Cloud Computing and Big Data (ICCCBDA 2020), which was converted to a virtual conference this April when COVID-19 had just begun to spread globally. We didn’t have any experience in organising conferences in virtual mode before. It was absolutely an adventure for us and we faced a lot of difficulties. The conference turned out to be a success and it was beyond our imagination. ICCCBDA has drawn the attention of the local media and been awarded with the title of the most influential academic activity by Sichuan Association for Science and Technology and Chongqing Association for Science and Technology.
 
5. What can we expect to see from Chengdu Young Academic Conference Co., Ltd. in the future?
A more and more professional conference organiser with its exclusive advantages and growing influence. 
 
6. Which trends do you see in the Association Meetings?
With the pandemic still going wild in the world, virtual conferences will become more common in the international conference industry. More innovative models may be invented in the future with the development of virtual reality and artificial intelligence technology.
 
7. What is an industry challenge that your organisation is facing currently?
The biggest challenge we’re facing now is how to improve communication at virtual conferences when face-to-face communication has been restricted big time due to the pandemic.
