HCVB completes 5 years!

The Hyderabad Convention Visitors Bureau has now entered into its fifth year of existence. The City of Pearls- Hyderabad, represented by Hyderabad Convention Visitors Bureau (HCVB) is the only destination in India which aims to create business opportunities for the State Government of Telangana, through the Meetings Industry. Hyderabad, with its accommodation and value adds from the State Government, has transcended horizons which were once bleak for the MICE sector in India. The growth in infrastructure with a boom of investment opportunities from IT conglomerates such as Google, Amazon, Apple, D.E Shaw and among a dozen other companies, HCVB has grown stronger in its pitch towards potential clients who have their eyes fixed on Hyderabad.

We are delighted to share that HCVB has harnessed 17 victories over the course of 5 years, with limited resources. Our small team with a governing board has enabled the Bureau to strategically scale greater heights. Also commending on the State Government’s initiatives for the coming year, we aim at making strides not only for Hyderabad as a convention capital of India but of Asia.

Incidentally, HCVB is one of the founding members of the Global Science Convention Alliance (GSCA). The GSCA was founded by four progressive international convention bureaux – Hyderabad, Daejeon, Adelaide & Toulouse.  The GSCA fraternity has grown to seven with the induction of Prague, Oslo and Philadelphia. Each of the bureaux are based in a destination with leading strengths in scientific innovation and research, sharing a common goal of attracting conventions that can benefit and share in these attributes. For 2016, HCVB has taken over the presidency at the Alliance and aims to foster a common dialogue for further intelligence sharing among various strategies.
