Share your local advocacy campaigns on Global Meetings Industry Day: 6 April 2017

A truly global campaign

To help turn Global Meetings Industry Day into a truly global campaign, and to raise awareness of the fact that the campaign needs to have strong local roots to succeed in every market, we have used this occasion in 2016 to start to crowd-source the “meetings mean business” equivalent slogans in 16 different languages amongst our worldwide membership.

Our aim is to cover every language used by our members! Should you have additional or alternative suggestions for a “meetings mean business” equivalent slogan in your language than the ones currently used in this image, please email them to us, so we can include it the campaign on 6 April.

Share your local advocacy campaigns!

ICCA is encouraging all ICCA members worldwide to share their local advocacy campaigns, whenever they take place, and use GMID as a platform to communicate and share success stories between countries.

Put your organisation in the spotlight on #GMID17 and let’s make this a joint effort to demonstrate the beyond economic value of international association meetings to progress in the fields of science, healthcare, technology and society in your destination and worldwide. When sharing your stories on social media on 6 April 2017, please make sure to include our community hashtag #ICCAWorld, so we can help amplify your message.

If you send us your story in advance, we will include it in our “Value of meetings” page in the Knowledge Hub on our website and will promote through ICCA’s online channels on GMID 2017.

As a suggestion: you could use the ICCA Destination Comparison Tool to analyse the number of meetings in your destination and use these to illustrate the growing impact of association meetings.

Have a look at the GMID page for background information and campaign material.

We look forward to receiving your stories and slogan suggestions!
