New ICCA rankings out soon!

The public release date of the new 2016 country and city rankings by number of meetings is Monday 8 May at noon (CEST; UTC+2h).

To allow members to prepare the release of their new position in the ICCA rankings by number of meetings organised in 2016, we release the new figures a couple of days earlier to members only in the Destination Comparison Tool in My ICCA, on Wednesday 3 May. On this day, we will send all offical ICCA contacts a notification email when the figures are available. When accessing the new figures a couple of days before the public release date, we kindly ask you to not publicise any news on the 2016 figures before next Monday 8 May at noon (CEST; UTC+2h), when ICCA will send out an ICCA press release to announce the new country and city rankings. This way we all publish the rankings simultaneously, which avoids creating confusion and gives all members a couple of days to prepare and plan their news releases.

Consider the use of alternative ICCA rankings!

Your destination’s ranking in the ICCA Statistics reflects your position in the international association meetings market and offers very valuable PR opportunities which you should not miss out on.

Apart from the obvious ranking by number of international association meetings, the ICCA Destination Comparison Tool allows you to create alternative ICCA rankings by:

  • Estimated total number of participants
  • Size of meetings (e.g. "Top cities by meetings from 500 - 1,000 participants")
  • Subject matter (e.g. Top cities for meetings on Technology")

We encourage you to be creative and use these figures as an angle to tell the story about your destination. Don't forget to make use of ICCA's freely available PR tools to publish your news: Download the press list of international meetings industry media to send out your release and publish your news via ICCA's channels so we can help to amplify your news.

Profile your destination by buying a sponsored hyperlink

A public version of the 2016 Statistics Report (PDF) will be send to 6,000 associations in mid-June. Profile your destination in this public abstract by buying a sponsored Hyperlink next to your destination. For more information contact Sebastian Sew.
