Large-scale convention weekend at Salzburg Exhibition & Congress Center attracts 5000 visitors

On the 21st & 22nd April around 5000 international Juice PLUS+ franchise partners participated in the ‘Juice PLUS+ Live!’ event at Salzburg Exhibition & Congress Centre. Juice PLUS+ is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of superior quality food supplements.

“The 2018 Juice PLUS+ Live! event sold out within weeks, once again highlighting just how attractive the multifunctional rooms are at Salzburg Exhibition & Congress Center. The versatility of the Salzburgarena in combination with the expo halls guarantees the most conducive environment possible for the holding of conventions, congresses, conferences and large gatherings”, enthused Michael Wagner, CEO at Messezentrum Salzburg GmbH.

Ernesto Hartog, Regional Director for Central Europe of Juice PLUS+, was very pleased with the positive way in which the event in Salzburg was received: “The wonderful atmosphere in the Salzburgarena, the short distances around the premises, the proximity to downtown Salzburg and the excellent range of accommodation for our international visitors were all benefits our franchise partners clearly appreciated.”

In the past the event has been held in places such as Berlin, Amsterdam and Freiburg.

Premiere of the ‘Dental Symphony’ congress in Salzburg

The congress for dentists and dental technicians is accompanied by an exhibition section. It took place on the 20th & 21st April and focused on the cooperative relationship between surgeries and laboratories. 27 internationally-renowned speakers from Austria, Germany, Italy and Romania attracted around 220 participants to the congress. In fact, the first edition of the show pulled in 24 exhibitors from several countries.

The organiser, Peter Asselmann, is already looking ahead very optimistically to the next edition of the show in Salzburg in two years: “Salzburg Exhibition & Congress Center was a marvellous venue for the congress, and the modern halls of the expo facility mean the venue has the capacity to grow in tune with the show.”

In summary, Michael Wagner explains: “Events like these aren’t just immensely profitable to the exhibition and congress centre, they also have knock-on benefits for the whole city and region. Commercially speaking, congress tourism is the supreme discipline in this segment. The average congress guest spends over € 400 per day.”
