MITEC Heads to IMEX Frankfurt to Strengthen Business Events Ties

Kuala Lumpur, 15 May 2017 – The Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC) makes its first appearance at IMEX Frankfurt 2018 (The worldwide exhibition for meetings and incentive travel) seeking to boost a number of business events visitors and present the Venue’s proposition to host large-scale events.

MITEC and its partners under the Team Malaysia banner are at IMEX Frankfurt from 15 – 17 May to promote the Venue and the country as a destination for business events, and strengthen ties with industry stakeholders in the European markets.

As a member of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), AIPC (International Association of Convention Centres) and UFI Union des Foires Internationales/Union of International Fairs, MITEC will also be presenting its strategy to position the business as a Gateway to Southeast Asia in attracting and hosting more global business events.

Speaking on the sidelines of IMEX 2018, Chief Executive Officer, Gunther Beissel said, “We continue to see growing interest in Malaysia as a destination for business events from the Europe market. And, as Kuala Lumpur, being the capital city continues to develop and grow its business event and hospitality offering, we are pleased to showcase MITEC – the largest trade and exhibition centre in the country as an ideal Venue for meeting planners to consider when hosting large-scale events of a 1,000 people or more”.

IMEX Frankfurt is a three-day global trade show that brings thousands of members of the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) industry together under one roof, enabling meeting planners, corporate meetings and conference organisers, as well as exhibitors, to find their ideal destinations and set their forthcoming events in motion.

Drop by at Booth B200, Messe Frankfurt and say ‘Apa Khabar?’ (How are you?) to the MITEC team and we look forward to seeing you!
