The red update button is your friend! The more you use it, the more concrete information you get. ICCA members - together with the ICCA team - are working hard to achieve a mutually beneficial situation of sharing information on the ICCA Association Database.
Keep finding ways to press it and you'll be in the running to become the next Researcher of the Month - or even Researcher of the Year!
For September 2020, Maryse Plante, Research Technician in the Québec City Convention Centre, has secured the coveted title! Here's what Maryse had to say:
How is the ICCA database beneficial for your work/organisation?
ICCA database is easy to use and is a part of my daily work, starting with Hotlead/RFP’s. The visuals are simple and clean. The design helps consolidate and personalize useful information for the Québec City Convention Centre. The database is a great research tool in our toolbox to help develop our international business.
Do you have any tips for your fellow ICCA members?
I recommend having a coherent and time-oriented work plan. I find this essential in order to take advantage of the immense potential of the database and to fully explore the large amount of information available. Be curious and always assume that an event or convention has the potential to be held in your city. This is quite easy for Québec City as it is the most beautiful destination in Canada!
What positive message would you like to share with ICCAWorld?
As our industry is undergoing a massive shift and transformation due to COVID-19, I think now more than ever we need to pull together. I’m naturally a very optimistic person and even though the recovery may be challenging, I’m confident a dynamic and people-oriented industry such as ours will pull through.
