Researcher of the Month

The red update button is your friend! The more you use it, the more concrete information you get. ICCA members - together with the ICCA team - are working hard to achieve a mutually beneficial situation of sharing information on the ICCA Association Database.

Keep finding ways to press it and you'll be in the running to become the next Researcher of the Month - or even Researcher of the Year!

Michelle Milas, Sales Manager Associations at Region Stavanger Convention Bureau, has secured the coveted title this month! Here's what Michelle had to say:

How is the ICCA database beneficial for your work/organisation?
The ICCA database is important for us at the Stavanger region convention bureau when researching potential business for our destination. The database is our number one trusted tool when we need reliable and updated information on association meetings we are targeting. In order to benefit fully from the database, it is at everyone’s interest and responsibility to keep it up to date – sharing is caring so hit the update-button whenever you can!

Do you have any tips for your fellow ICCA members?
- Check the local champions section to find potential ambassadors in your area
- Search potential meetings based on areas of research relevant for your destination
- Check the “hot leads” on regular basis to be updated on upcoming RFP’s.

What positive message would you like to share with ICCA World?
Year 2020 has been a challenging year for all of us. Yet, it has also been an eye opener to see how strong the community within the meeting industry is. Most of us have adapted to the new way of doing business and our community has been strengthened through the willingness of sharing knowledge, information and strategies. With this in mind, I am optimistic about the new year and I am sure we will together adapt and recover as an even stronger industry.
