ICCA Launches Wavelength Report, Science for Better Healthcare Meetings

Our new report, Science for Better Healthcare Meetings that was launched at the ICCA Future of Healthcare Meetings 2026 which took place Athens, Greece on 20-22 September 2026.

The report explores the following questions:

  • How to Plan Better Healthcare Meetings: What the Research Tells Us.
  • What can science tell us about healthcare meetings—and how can it help us plan and deliver better ones?
  • How can the existing body of research inform our work, and where are the gaps in our knowledge?

These are the questions we have sought to answer in our inaugural Wavelength Report.

The Wavelength series reflects ICCA’s role in advancing global leadership in meetings and events. It is designed to ensure that associations and ICCA Members remain on the same wavelength—using evidence, shared knowledge and collaboration across the global association meetings community to create greater value for all stakeholders.

We would like to thank our supporting partners for their commitment to this important research: Barcelona Convention Bureau, Business Events Adelaide, Lausanne Montreux Congress, MCI Group, Singapore EXPO, and the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre.
