This month, we get to know Himeji Convention & Visitors Bureau:

What was your motivation to join ICCA?

Himeji city has been certified as the International Convention City by Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transportation in 2005.  One of the tasks of Himeji Convention and Visitors Bureau is to attract as many international conventions as possible and be ranked in the top list of the annual ICCA Rankings Report.  To obtain the information about the international conventions through your database and other ICCA members, we wanted to be the member.

What sets your organisation apart?

Himeji Convention & Visitors Bureau stands out for its unique combination of world-class cultural heritage, compact and walkable city design, and exceptional local hospitality. Centered around the UNESCO World Heritage Site Himeji Castle, the bureau offers conference participants an authentic and memorable Japanese experience that blends history, nature, and modern convenience.

In addition, Himeji provides easy access from major cities like Osaka, Kyoto and even Tokyo in 3 hours by Shinkansen – the bullet train while offering a more relaxed and less crowded environment.
