What was your motivation to join ICCA? 

Joining ICCA represents an important step in our commitment to positioning Nha Trang as an emerging destination for international association meetings and global congresses.

As a resort on an Island with extensive meeting infrastructure and the backing of a globally recognized hospitality brand.

We believe we can contribute meaningfully to the global meetings community.

Tell us your story: How did the hotel begin?

The resort’s origin is rooted in the bold ambition of Vinpearl’s founder, who transformed a secluded coastal frontier into a premier hospitality empire driven by a passion to showcase Vietnam’s natural beauty to the world.

This journey began in 2003 with the establishment of the island’s first five-star infrastructure and the world’s longest sea-crossing cable car, creating a self-sustaining ecosystem of luxury and entertainment.

Located on the picturesque Hon Tre Island, the resort was conceived as a comprehensive leisure and events destination, integrating luxury accommodation, expansive meeting facilities, beachfront experiences, and resort-style amenities and was designed to showcase the natural beauty of Vietnam’s coastline while delivering international-standard hospitality and event capabilities

In September 2023, this local legacy, joined the Marriott International  brand, aligning the resort with one of the world’s most recognized hospitality brands and bringing global service standards, operational excellence, and international distribution reach.

This landmark partnership rebranded the property as the flagship Nha Trang Marriott Resort & Spa.

This collaboration blends Vinpearl’s deep-rooted Vietnamese heart with Marriott’s "Art of Hosting" philosophy, offering travelers a sophisticated sanctuary that remains the largest Marriott Bonvoy property in Vietnam.

Today, the resort stands as a premier hospitality destination in Vietnam, welcoming leisure travelers, corporate events, and increasingly, international meetings and association gatherings.

What is your favorite success story from your organization? 

One of our most rewarding achievements has been successfully positioning the resort as a destination capable of hosting large-scale international gatherings while maintaining the personalized atmosphere of a luxury resort.

Delivering complex multi-day events within a resort environment requires careful planning, collaboration, and operational excellence.

Our teams have demonstrated that it is possible to combine large conferences, incentive programs, and corporate events with exceptional guest service and memorable experiences.

Seeing delegates leave not only with professional insights but also with lasting memories of the destination is one of the most rewarding outcomes for our team.

What is one challenge your property currently faces?

Like many emerging destinations, one of our key challenges is raising global awareness within the international association meetings market.

While Nha Trang offers exceptional infrastructure, natural beauty, and hospitality capabilities, continued efforts are required to strengthen global recognition, improve connectivity, and position the destination competitively alongside more established convention cities.
