This month, we get to know Visit Oman:
What was your motivation to join ICCA?
Visit Oman’s motivation to join ICCA is rooted in our role as the Sultanate of Oman’s Destination Management System (DMS), with a mission to connect global demand with Oman’s tourism and hospitality ecosystem. ICCA membership provides access to international association networks, market intelligence, and one of the world’s most comprehensive databases of rotating association meetings, enabling us to identify opportunities, attract high‑value events, and extend global market access to local Omani tourism providers. This directly supports Oman Vision 2040 by translating international opportunities into sustainable economic impact, in collaboration with key national stakeholders, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MoHT) and the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre (OCEC).
Tell us your story. How did your organisation get started?
Visit Oman was launched in 2021 as a subsidiary of OMRAN Group, the Government of the Sultanate of Oman’s executive arm for tourism development, to serve as Oman’s digitally native Destination Management System (DMS). Guided by our values of innovation, impact, and inspiration, the organization was established to support the National Tourism Strategy 2040 by addressing a critical gap: enabling local tourism suppliers to access global markets seamlessly through a single, integrated digital ecosystem. From its inception, Visit Oman was designed to move beyond promotion and currently connects 390+ international trade partners across 55+ countries with more than 250 quality‑assured local tourism providers, digitizes 350+ tourism services nationwide, and delivers meaningful economic and market impact, strengthening Oman’s position as an accessible and competitive destination for both leisure and MICE tourism.
