This month, we get to know Wuhan International Exhibition Group:
What was your motivation to join ICCA?
Our primary motivation for joining the ICCA is to accelerate our internationalization process and integrate more deeply into the global MICE industry ecosystem. As one of the most authoritative and influential organizations in the global MICE industry, ICCA provides an ideal platform for achieving three key strategic objectives: First, “attracting international events”—leveraging ICCA’s global network to attract more international association meetings and academic congresses to Wuhan, thereby supporting the city’s ambition to become an international hub for exchange and engagement; Second, “expanding globally”—utilizing the ICCA platform to promote Wuhan as a unique emerging meetings destination and enhance the global visibility and influence of our proprietary conference brands; Third, “raising standards”—learning from and applying ICCA’s best practices in conference operations, sustainability, and digitalization to empower our team and develop a portfolio of locally developed conference brands that meet ICCA standards.

Whether through the dynamic vitality expressed in creative events or the rich heritage conveyed in thematic exhibitions, we are committed to telling compelling city stories through our work. This deep understanding and articulation of urban culture ensures that our events are not merely industry gatherings, but also powerful vehicles for enhancing the city’s global image and fostering local identity—offering international participants an experience that goes far beyond the event itself.
