What if the knowledge shared at a congress didn’t stay inside the congress?
We’re launching our new IAC Blue Paper series, with this first edition developed in collaboration with Boardroom Magazine, exploring a powerful example of meeting legacy in action.
As part of its commitment to advancing knowledge and sharing best practice, ICCA will publish Blue Papers focused on topics that matter to associations. Developed with partners and industry experts, the series will provide practical insights, emerging trends and actionable guidance for association leaders and meeting professionals.
At Masterclass Zurich 2026: Vaginal Birth, around 200 physicians, specialists and midwives gathered to exchange expertise.
But the knowledge didn’t stay inside the meeting room.
An accompanying legacy initiative brought that expertise directly to the public at Zurich Main Station, giving expectant mothers and families access to reliable, understandable information on pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum care.
It’s a practical example of what meeting legacy can look like: taking the expertise already within a professional community and asking, who else could benefit from it?
"How Zurich Turned Obstetrics Expertise into Public Legacy" explores:
- What made the initiative work
- What the team learned along the way
- The lessons other associations can take from Zurich’s experience
