ICCA is delighted to announce that Gea van Beek, CICS, will be joining our Amsterdam office as Regional Manager Europe.

Gea brings more than 10 years of international experience across the aviation and global meetings sectors, with a strong track record in stakeholder engagement, customer care, global meetings coordination, and operational leadership. Most recently, she worked as a Safety, Compliance and Operations Advocate at Delta Air Lines. Prior to this position, Gea held senior roles at SkyTeam, serving as Manager Global Meetings and previously as Global Meetings Coordinator, where she supported airline members worldwide, optimised client satisfaction, and represented the organisation at international industry events.

Earlier in her career, Gea worked as a senior customer service agent, and held other customer-focused positions, building deep experience in managing complex enquiries, coaching teams, and supporting operational processes within highly multilingual and multicultural environments.

Gea holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Tourism & Recreation Management and completed international study at Edinburgh Napier University, equipping her with a global outlook and a strong, service-driven mindset that aligns closely with ICCA’s mission.

Dr. Senthil Gopinath, CEO of ICCA, commented:

“Gea brings a combination of global industry experience, operational excellence, and a genuinely people-centric approach. Her background across aviation and international meetings, combined with her passion for collaboration, makes her a strong addition to the ICCA team. We are delighted to welcome Gea to ICCA and look forward to the impact she will have in strengthening our European community and advancing our global mission.”

In her new role, Gea will be responsible for strengthening member engagement and supporting strategic initiatives that enhance ICCA’s presence and impact within the international meetings industry. She will also serve as the point of contact for ICCA Sectors, supporting collaboration and alignment across Destination Management, Meetings & Events Management, Meetings & Events Solutions, and Venues & Hotels.

Reflecting on her new role, Gea shared:

“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much. It’s what turns ideas into congresses, conversations into collaborations, and meetings into movements. Each person brings a different perspective, a different experience, a different corner of the world — and yet we’re all here for the same purpose: to connect, collaborate, and create something bigger than ourselves. I’m truly excited to begin this journey with ICCA — to learn from one another, to contribute, and to grow together. Because it’s not just about events; it’s about the people who make them meaningful.”

We warmly welcome Gea to the ICCA team and look forward to the leadership, energy, and global perspective she brings to our European community and beyond.
