The BI feedback button is your friend! The more you use it, the more concrete information you get. ICCA members - together with the ICCA team - are working hard to achieve a mutually beneficial situation of sharing information on the ICCA Business Intelligence Database.

Keep finding ways to press it and you'll be in the running to become the next Researcher of the Month - or even Researcher of the Year!

Norerasehida Wahab, Sabah Convention Bureau, has secured the coveted title this month! Here's what she had to say:

1. How is the ICCA database beneficial for your work/organisation?

The ICCA database is the foundation of our strategic approach at the Sabah Convention Bureau. Because we are a small, agile team, we don’t operate within rigid silos but instead, we thrive on a collaborative culture where roles are fluid. My colleagues play a vital part in my work, just as I support theirs, and this shared responsibility allows us to translate insights from the database into action more effectively. This team-wide engagement has transformed our research from reactive to proactive, enabling us to target with precision, strengthen our competitive positioning, and inform our long-term forecasting.

2. Do you have any tips for your fellow ICCA members?

Map your ecosystem first by identifying sectors where you have a competitive advantage. Lead with proof points, and use the research output and clinical capacity data from the database to show why your destination is the logical choice. Finally, don't fear the "unknown" share your experiences and practical applications of the data, as this community collaboration drives us all forward. The BI coopetition session I attended during the ICCA Congress in Porto was great, as they mentioned some useful pointers there.

3. What positive message would you like to share with ICCA Community?

In an industry that is moving faster than ever, the most successful organizations are the most thoughtful. By placing data at the center of our decisions, we aren't just winning business but we are creating lasting legacies. I encourage ICCA members to continue fostering this spirit of "coopetition" by sharing insights, supporting one another, and focusing on human-centric outcomes to elevate our global industry.
