What was your motivation to join ICCA?
We have taken a strategic decision to work closely with association meetings to strengthen our success within the international meetings industry. By joining ICCA, we believe this will give us the best foundation to succeed within our aims and objectives. ICCA is globally recognized as the leading organisation within the meetings industry, and the database is no doubt a huge motivation for us to join. We have developed an ICCA strategy and an ICCA team within Nordic Hotels & Resorts to develop and strengthen our collaboration with ICCA.
What can we expect to see from Villa Copenhagen in the future?
Villa Copenhagen is one of the leading conferences and MICE venues in Copenhagen. It is a hotel dedicated to sustainable solutions and a leading supplier within the international market. As a venue, Villa Copenhagen offers a unique location in the heart of Copenhagen, where Scandinavian design meets the unique building with all its historical features. For the association market, Villa Copenhagen is a new venue to explore, giving the elements of a unique conference venue in one of the world's most iconic cities to visit. The hotel caters for all needs, and the staff are highly experienced within the international conference market, and understand the needs to deliver a successful event for an international meeting with delegates from all over the world. Which trends do you see in the Association Meetings?
I think the association planners are seeking destinations with an added touch. We see the Bleisure trends becoming more relevant, and event planners will be looking for destinations that fulfill the bleisure needs of delegates in order to attract attendees. The destination will play a key part, and delegates want to experience something new and a destination that matches their personal values. Therefore sustainability will become a key part, especially with the Gen Z planners.
