What was your motivation to join ICCA?
Luxembourg City Tourist Office a.s.b.l. (LCTO) is a non-profit organisation and the leading player in Luxembourg City’s leisure and cultural tourism.
Our main motivation to join ICCA is to expand our network and promote our products, services and expertise to the international meetings industry and potential ICCA member clients.
Our aim is to take initiatives in developing quality tourism over the whole of the city of Luxembourg, to offer correspondent insider tips to MICE specialists and help them organize an unforgettable stay.
We provide general consultancy, such as assistance with local contacts and advise on social programmes and inspection trips and, as an ICCA member, want to increase our visibility.
Another important point is that we would like to learn more about trends and get access to market insights and studies to be able to better understand the markets and thus being able to adapt to changes. The access to ICCA resources will be extremely helpful for us.
Finally, we are of course very keen on hosting an ICCA Event in Luxembourg in the near future.

Located in the centre and heart of Luxembourg City, our friendly experts give information on everything there is to see and do in Luxembourg City.
One point which sets us apart is the multingual advice we are giving. Most of our staff speaks more than 5 languages which is really appreciated by our international visitors. They feel a very warm welcome when they come to our Information Centre.
Whatever the visitor is looking to do in Luxembourg: the LCTO team can provide inspiring ideas on how to get the best out of their trip.
Another important point is that we have a very close link to the city hall and their economic development department.
What is your favourite success story from your organisation?
In September 2016 we organized a huge MICE Event in Luxembourg under the credo “Live the unexpected”! This event “Meet inLuxembourg” was a great platform for MICE specialists coming from all over the world to meet in Luxembourg and to promote Luxembourg as a destination.
Hundreds of visitors attended this MICE event and we organized an official Reception with the Grand-Duke and the Grand-Duchess, our Prime Minister and the Mayor of Luxembourg City to welcome our guests in front of the Grand-Ducal Palace.
It was an unforgettable event and we got excellent feedback from the participants.
