What is your favourite success story from your organisation?

One of WildChina’s favorite success stories is the bespoke journey we crafted for a group of international business leaders seeking an in-depth understanding of China’s cultural and economic landscape. The itinerary included exclusive access to remote villages, private tours of ancient historical sites, and intimate meetings with local experts and entrepreneurs, connecting with Chinese leading companies.

One of the highlights is “A Day with a Smartphone” program we designed for embracing the advancements of mobile technology in China. This exclusive experience offers the opportunity to delve into the diverse capabilities of the Chinese mobile ecosystem and witness how both local and international businesses adapt to the mobile-centric landscape.

Our team’s innovative approach allowed these leaders to not only see China’s landmarks but to engage deeply with its people and traditions, fostering a genuine connection and a new perspective on the country.

The success of this trip was evident in the heartfelt feedback from participants: Dear team, thank you very much. Not only for the organisation and well-coordinated work, it was an honor to work with you. But also for yourself. You are incredible, each of you will remain in our hearts forever.

What can we expect to see from WildChina Travel in the future?

In addition to continuing with our innovative and sustainable meeting and event experiences, WildChina will create compelling program content that vividly illustrates China's economic and consumer trends. Highlight key areas such as Digital China, Manufacturing 4.0, Renewable Energy, and Rural China, and build a speaker bureau around that.

We are also excited to leverage emerging technologies to enhance our personalized services and offer seamless, high-quality meeting experiences. Whether through AI or other new digital formats, we aim to pave new paths for the industry setting new standards for MICE in China.

We will be enhancing our commitment to sustainability by implementing more eco-friendly practices and supporting local communities in more impactful ways.

Which trends do you see in the Association Meetings?

In the realm of association meetings, several trends are shaping the landscape:

Hybrid Events: The integration of virtual and in-person components continues to be a dominant trend, allowing associations to reach broader audiences while accommodating varying attendee preferences and travel restrictions.

Personalization and Engagement: There is a growing emphasis on tailoring attendee experiences through personalized content, networking opportunities, and interactive sessions to enhance engagement and satisfaction.

Sustainability Initiatives: Associations are increasingly prioritizing sustainable practices in event planning, including reducing carbon footprints, minimizing waste, and supporting local economies and communities.

Technological Integration: Advancements in event technology, such as AI-driven matchmaking, virtual reality (VR) experiences, and enhanced networking platforms, are revolutionizing how associations facilitate connections and deliver content.

Flexibility in Planning: The COVID-19 pandemic has underscored the importance of flexibility in event planning, with associations adopting agile strategies and contingency plans to adapt to changing circumstances swiftly.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): There is a growing focus on promoting DEI within association meetings, ensuring representation in speaker lineups, fostering inclusive environments, and addressing equity issues in access and participation.

What is an industry challenge your organisation is facing currently?

Cost Control: Managing expenses effectively amidst fluctuating economic conditions and rising operational costs.

ESG vs Long-Distance Travel: Balancing our commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals with the environmental impacts of long-distance travel.

Geopolitics: Navigating geopolitical tensions and their impact on international travel regulations and safety considerations.

These challenges require strategic planning and adaptability to ensure sustainable growth and continued delivery of high-quality travel experiences for our clients.
